Handcrafted by women artisans, the cover of our colorful Upcycled Sari Journal is amde from a tight weave of recycled sari fabrics trimmed with leather and the 50 unlined pages are made from recycled cotton fabrics. The journal is held closed with a leather cord and coconut buttons. Colors and patterns will vary - each journal is unique.

This women-led Fair Trade enterprise creates safe, sustainable jobs for women in rural Bangladesh. With the goal of self-reliance, they teach the women handcraft skills so that the women are instrumental in transforming their low income communities into communities that produce generational wealth. With sustainable incomes, the women are able to secure proper housing, adequate foor and education for their children. The enterprise is environmentally focussed, keeping waste out of landfills and waterways by their use of renewable materials and methods including the use of recycled sari fabrics, recycled paper, tree-free cotton paper, tree-free water hyacinth paper and eco-friendly dyes.
